Yikes! Not another one!
I've been drafting a couple of different blog posts with the Katrina Anniversary in mind, but now we have Tropical Storm (possibly Hurricane) Gustav down in the Caribbean, soon to be in the Gulf, and things in this area are going in to hurricane preparation mode...which means I must do that also. So, unless Gustav changes his mind and heads for Texas or Mexico, I will be probably be offline for a few days. (I hope it won't be longer than that--it depends on where I evacuate to, if evacuate I must, and whether the electricity goes out.) Bye for now.

One of my clients at the NASA Stennis Center in Mississippi called yesterday to gather some information and said they were preparing to prepare to evacuate.
Please stay safe Sphinx.
I hope all goes well for you. I have had trouble catching it on my DVR, but there is a documentary called The Church of Dauphine Street airing on PBS that looks at post-Katrina events.
Xavier is already cancelling classes.
In case you didn't see my post, I'm acting as a clearinghouse for SOLA members to check in with, if necessary.
Stay safe, and your animals too.
*Crossing my fingers for all of us.*
Be well and stay dry!
My prayers for your safety have been sent. Sphinx you can post about your adventure later.
